Bent Creek Blackdog Shiraz

Bent Creek Black Dog Shiraz has a luxurious and complex palate of berries, dark chocolate and mud cake.



Bent Creek Black Dog Shiraz is named after the Bent Creek's cellar door dog.  Made from a mixture of old dry grown vines, from next to the homestead, with young vines from two different vineyards.  There is good structure here with typically Mclaren Vale soft tannins with intelligent oak treatment.



This shiraz displays a bouquet of spice and rich berries. It has a brilliant purple black colour with black crimson hue.  There are juicy flavours of spicy blackberry, plum and blackpepper on the palate. Fine grained well balanced tannins with long spice, blackpepper and blackberry aftertaste. An Australian red wine from the McClaren Vale, it is matured in American oak for 13 months.  It is ready to drink now or may be cellared for up to 10 years.
