Bintang Beer is refreshing with a hoppy bitterness, clean malt flavours and an even dry finish.
Indonesia's largest selling beer, Bintang beer is produced by the huge international brewer Heineken which ensures quality and product consistency. It is a pilsner style of beer and while it does have a very similar in flavour to that of Heineken, it does have some lager influences on the palate.
This popular beer was introduced onto the maket in 1929 in a time when Indonesia whas under Dutch Rule and was brewed in Surabaya, Indonesia's second largest city. Bintang beer has a light golden colour and is crystal clear in appearance. It has a fresh malty aroma and a frothy even lacy head. The palate is very soft with clean malt flavours that are matched by a hoppy bitter even dry finish.
