Brokenwood Cricket Pitch White

Brokenwood Cricket Pitch White is a crisp and clean Australian white wine which has great texture and fruit, citrusy acidity and length.

The fruit is sourced from the McLaren Vale, Cowra and Orange, NSW.  Equal parts of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon make up this multiregional blended wine. Fruit is processed to the primary juice stage before transport to the winery in the Hunter Valley for fermentation and blending. This ensures the delicate grape and fruit aromas are preserved. A small percentage of this wine was fermented in barrel.

Brokenwood Cricket Pitch White has a bright pale yellow coloyr with green tints, consistent with aromas of citrus and herbaceous green pea edge. Sauvignon Blanc provides the powerful fruit backbone with Semillon giving structure of richness to the palate. Barrel ferment character adds subtle complexity and further dimension to the palate. A fine natural acid structure provides length and liveliness to the finish.

Brockenwood Cricket Pitch White would perfectly accompany a dozen freshly shucked oysters or a spicy Asian laksa for dinner.
