Browns of Padthaway Ernest FR Shiraz is a full bodied, balanced with good acidity and very long tannins, making it a wine of traditional shiraz character.
This Australian red wine is from the Padthaway region in South Australia. The shiraz grapes are from the esteemed terra rossa soil. This shiraz spent twenty four months in new French and American oak barriques and 1-3 year old French oak barriques.
The colour is of bold, deep purple. The bouquet shows great intensity of blackberry fruit and spice with tremendous concentration. This concentrated fruit creates a rich powerful palate with intensity and length. Browns of Padthaway Ernest FR Shiraz has the cellaring potential of over 10 years. This traditional Australian style red is perfect with all red meat dishes and cheese.
Browns of Padthaway's range of wines have distinct taste, exhibiting varietal characteristics typical of the cool climate Padthaway wine region. Five generations of agriculture expertise has helped make Browns of Padthaway one of the few private family labels producing premium quality wines in this unique region.
