In 1977 Coriole selected Chenin Blanc to plant after being very impressed by just two wines made by the Hardy Wine Company. It is a fresh and delicate style, yet full flavoured and a remarkable ability to age in bottle for over 20 years. Chenin suits many occasions but goes particularly well with a wide range of Asian cuisines and as an aperitif.
Tasting Notes: Chenin Blanc 2008
The '08 Chenin shows excellent green apple, passionfruit and lemon blossom aromas. The palate is finely balanced, dry and flavoursome with vibrant, bright fruit character. Granny Smith apple and pear shine through with a clean finish. Drink fresh and enjoy!
