Bouquet: Citrus and herb aromas                                                                                                

Palate:  The 2010 vintage produced a low yielding crop with intense fruit flavours and the resultant wine is fresh and crisp with a wonderful vibrancy on the palate.  An undertone of mineral and flint leads to a tight, refreshing light tropical finish.



Technical Analysis Location: Lenswood – a Sub Region of the Adelaide Hills Wine Region - 550 metres above sea level, 20 km due east of Adelaide



Climate                                                                                                                                              



The region is classed as cool climate with the undulating and steep sloping terrain around Lenswood minimizing frost risk.  The altitude and protected sites also reduce the chance of a heat wave during the summer.  Harvest dates range from mid March to early April for Pinot Noir, Chardonnay & Sauvignon Blanc and up to early May for Riesling Soils.



The soil is predominately sandy, clay loam with a rock base of quartz and sandstone and the steep slopes provide excellent drainage as well as reducing the risk of frost.  Whilst the vineyard is fully fitted with a drip fed irrigation system, irrigation is kept to a minimum to allow the wines to display the true characteristics of each changing vintage.
