Secret Stone Sauvignon Blanc

Secret Stone is sourced from the heart of New Zealand's premier Sauvignon Blanc region, Marlborough. Three superb parcels of wine have been selected from throughout the Marlborough area and crafted, with minimum intervention, to capture and retain the varietal fruit characters, producing an intensely flavoured, lively Sauvignon Blanc.

Fruit is harvested according to a timetable, ensuring that grapes arrive at the winery in a cool and fresh condition, preserving the classic Marlborough characters which are the signature of Secret Stone. The primary objective is to protect the fresh vibrant characters. The fruit is de-stemmed, pressed and chilled to 10-12C before a gentle pressing. The resulting juices are cold settled for two to three days and racked. Following fermentation, the wine is chilled to zero degrees prior to racking and determining the final Cuv,e. Crafted with minimum intervention to capture and retain the exquisite personality of the vines, the natural expressions of fruit and racy acidity deliver balance, backbone and length. Approx 13.0%

Light straw colour, hints of green. Attractive array of floral characters with fresh and fragrant tropical fruit notes, banana, passionfruit and gooseberry. Fresh, crisp and lively palate with mineral overtones and great length. Intense with grapefruit and limes, lanolin and talc, green vegetable and snow pea. Tight and lean, lacking any unnecessary distracting complexity, finishing crisp with citrus and herbaceousness.
