TASTING NOTES
Variety: Gewurztraminer
Region: Adelaide Hills
Winemaker: John Tomich / Peter Leske
Colour: Medium straw
Bouquet: Opens with fragrant rose petal aromas with hints of musk and lychee.
Palate: Intense Turkish delight and lychee characters with musky overtones. Finishes with a delightfully rewarding crisp and textural acidity.
Harvest: March 2009
Technical: Alc - 13.4%, TA - 5.4 g/l; pH - 3.3; R/S - 12g/l
Cellaring: 1 - 2 years. Drink fresh.
FOOD MATCHES
Well suited to spicy Asian dishes in particular sweet Thai and goes well with firm cheeses and dried fruits.
WINEMAKING
Hand picked early morning and immediately chilled and pressed off, free run only. Fermented in 100% old French barrique. Bottle fermented.
