Yellow Tail Reserve Shiraz is another great Australian red wine worth trying.
The Yellow Tail range is personally selected by John Casella from the best available parcels of premium quality grapes. His objective is to produce a premium fruit-driven style with French oak maturation adding subtle complexity, while retaining softness and drinkability. The fruit used for The Reserve wines is taken from Australia's premium winegrowing regions in conjunction with the Riverina, Casella's home base.
The ripe, concentrated flavours of the warm Riverina climate are judiciously blended with the elegance, finesse and crisp acidity of cool climate fruit to produce an exceptional example of this celebrated variety.
Yellow Tail Shiraz has lifted aromas of ripe cherries, blackberries and dark chocolate. A range of intense,
ripe fruit flavours flow across the palate with dark cherry and berry fruit flavours which is enhanced with hints of cracked pepper, mocha and spice. Seamless and well structured tannins complete this exceptional full-bodied wine.
